Our Gangtok, Pelling & Darjeeling Explorer adds the tranquil West-Sikkim town of Pelling to the classic Gangtok-Darjeeling route. Over six days you cover Tsomgo Lake, Pelling’s ancient monasteries and glass skywalk, and Darjeeling’s tea-country sights.

Gangtok & Tsomgo Lake
Sikkim’s lively capital, base for the glacial Tsomgo Lake and New Baba Mandir excursion, with Nathula Pass as an optional add-on.
Pelling: West Sikkim
A quiet hill town with grand Kanchenjunga views, home to the 17th-century Pemayangtse Monastery, the Rabdentse Ruins, a bird sanctuary and the Pelling Skywalk.
Darjeeling: Tea & Sunrise
The Queen of the Hills, famed for Tiger Hill’s sunrise over Kanchenjunga and its tea-garden heritage.
ITINERARY
Day 1 – NJP / Bagdogra to Gangtok (120 km / 5 hrs)
Meet and greet on arrival and transfer to Gangtok (5,500 ft). Check in and relax for the rest of the day. Overnight in Gangtok.
Day 2 – Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & New Baba Mandir (Nathula optional)
After breakfast, drive to Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft) and the New Baba Mandir (13,200 ft). Nathula Pass optional (permit required, subject to availability). Overnight in Gangtok.
Day 3 – Gangtok to Pelling
After breakfast, drive across West Sikkim to Pelling, enjoying waterfalls and mountain scenery en route. Check in and relax. Overnight in Pelling.
Day 4 – Pelling Sightseeing & transfer to Darjeeling
After breakfast, visit Pemayangtse Monastery, the Rabdentse Ruins, the bird sanctuary and the Pelling Skywalk, then drive to Darjeeling (about 5-6 hrs). Evening free at Chowrasta. Overnight in Darjeeling.
Day 5 – Darjeeling Sightseeing
Early morning at Tiger Hill for the Kanchenjunga sunrise, via Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop. After breakfast, visit the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, PN Zoological Park (closed Thursdays), Tenzing Rock, the Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Centre, a tea garden, the ropeway and the Japanese Peace Pagoda. Overnight in Darjeeling.
Day 6 – Darjeeling to NJP / Bagdogra (95 km / 3 hrs)
After breakfast, transfer to NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport for your onward journey. End of services.

What’s Included
The Gangtok, Pelling & Darjeeling Explorer is a well-balanced six-day circuit taking in East and West Sikkim plus Darjeeling.
