Which Canton Fair Tour Package Should You Book?

Start with your product category, not the price. The Canton Fair splits its 25,000-plus exhibitors across three phases that do not overlap, so a garment importer who books Phase 1 will find electronics halls and nothing else. If you buy electronics, machinery, hardware, tools, lighting, vehicles or new-energy products, you need Phase 1. If you buy furniture, home décor, gifts, ceramics, kitchenware, building materials or beauty products, you need Phase 2. If you buy textiles, garments, footwear, bags, office supplies, toys, medical products or food, you need Phase 3.

Choose a combined package if your business spans two phases — a homeware importer who also buys small appliances, for example, or a retailer sourcing both home décor and textiles. The combined tours cost ₹44,000 more and buy you breadth rather than depth: two fair days in each of two phases instead of five days in one, plus a guided city tour, a Pearl River evening cruise and a full-day Gulong Gorge Glass Bridge excursion built into the middle of the trip. For a first visit, most Indian buyers do better on a single-phase tour: five days is genuinely enough to walk one phase properly, and you will learn what you actually need before committing to a longer trip next session.

Canton Fair 2026 Dates, Phases & Product Categories

The 140th Canton Fair runs from 15 October to 4 November 2026 at the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Pazhou, Guangzhou. Specifically, it splits into three phases of five days each, separated by three-day changeover breaks while the halls close and are completely re-dressed for the next set of exhibitors. Above all, this is the one thing to get right before you book, because the phases carry entirely different product categories and there is no overlap between them. For full details, therefore, check the official Canton Fair website.

Category lists are the headline sections, not the full official list. Because the Canton Fair adds and reshuffles sections between sessions, the boundaries move. So if your product sits near one — school furniture, for instance, is Phase 2 while office supplies are Phase 3 — then check the current section list on the official Canton Fair phase and category listing. Alternatively, call us and we will confirm which phase your suppliers exhibit in.

Canton Fair Phase 1 — Electronics, Machinery & Vehicles (15–19 October 2026)

Phase 1 is the largest and busiest of the three, and consequently the one most Indian buyers attend. In particular, it covers consumer electronics, household electrical appliances, lighting and LED, industrial machinery, hardware and tools, building machinery, new materials and chemicals, new-energy products including solar and battery storage, and finally vehicles and spare parts. In short, if you import anything with a plug, a motor or a circuit board, then this is your phase. For that reason our Phase 1 tour departs 14 October, so that you are badged and inside the halls when doors open on the 15th.

Canton Fair Phase 2 — Home, Gifts, Furniture & Building Materials (23–27 October 2026)

Phase 2, meanwhile, is the home and lifestyle phase. It carries furniture, home decorations, gifts and premiums, daily consumer goods, kitchenware and tableware, ceramics, glass artware, sanitary and bathroom products, building and decorative materials, gardening products, and also clocks and watches. Naturally, therefore, this is the phase for retailers, homeware importers, gifting companies and interior and construction suppliers. However, note that building and decorative materials sit in Phase 2, not Phase 1 — several competing websites get this wrong, and as a result it becomes an expensive mistake to make. Our Phase 2 tour departs 22 October.

Canton Fair Phase 3 — Textiles, Apparel, Food, Health & Medical (31 October – 4 November 2026)

Similarly, Phase 3 covers textiles and garments, shoes, cases and bags, office supplies, recreation and sporting products, toys, baby and maternity products, pet products, health and leisure goods, food, and lastly medical products and devices. Accordingly, it is the phase for garment importers, footwear buyers, stationery and toy distributors, and equally for pharmaceutical and medical-device sourcing teams. Our Phase 3 tour departs 30 October and then returns on 4 November, the closing day.

139th vs 140th Canton Fair — Which Session Are You Booking?

Because the Canton Fair is held twice a year, in spring and autumn, each edition gets its own session number. The 139th session was spring 2026 and ran 15–19 April, 23–27 April and 1–5 May, so it has already closed. By contrast, the 140th session is autumn 2026, running 15 October to 4 November, and this is the session all five packages on this page are for. In other words, if you have seen April or May dates advertised as “Canton Fair 2026” elsewhere, then those refer to the completed spring session. Notably, the 140th is also the session the Fair is marking as its 70th anniversary — since the first Canton Fair was held on 25 April 1957 — and therefore you should expect a larger exhibitor turnout and heavier hotel demand than usual.

Canton Fair 2027 Dates — 141st Spring Session

Looking further ahead, the 141st Canton Fair, spring 2027, is scheduled for 15 April to 5 May 2027: Phase 1 on 15–19 April, then Phase 2 on 23–27 April, and finally Phase 3 on 1–5 May. Alternatively, if the October dates do not work for your business, register your interest now and we will hold you a place on the spring 2027 departure once bookings open. In practice, buyers who plan two sessions ahead consistently get better hotel rates as well as shorter visa queues.

Package Exclusions

  • International airfare — optional add-on, since we book it separately at the fare applicable on the day (see the departure-city table below)
  • Domestic airfare with tax for your connection to the international gateway
  • GST and TCS — charged over and above the package price, as set out in the landed-cost table
  • Lunch on all days except the Gulong Gorge excursion day on the combined tours, and likewise any meals not listed under inclusions
  • Single occupancy supplement — see the package cards for the applicable rate
  • Urgent or sticker visa supplement, if you apply later than the standard window
  • Travel insurance, hotel incidentals, tips to guides and drivers (voluntary), and personal expenses including telephone calls, laundry, porterage and excess-luggage charges
  • Any optional programme, interpreter hire, freight, sample shipping, and finally customs clearance in India
Two practical booking conditions. First, coach luggage is limited to one check-in bag and two pieces of hand luggage per person; any additional check-in bag needs a luggage van, at INR 800 per bag. Second, these are group departures subject to a minimum number of passengers. If the minimum is not met, we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule the departure — you will be told well in advance, and any refund or alternative arrangement is handled under our booking and cancellation policy. Please also note that there is no refund for unused tours, rooms, meals, the free-gift package or transfer services.

GST, TCS and Visa Supplements — Your Real Landed Cost Explained

Most Canton Fair websites quote a headline figure and then stop there, which is precisely why buyers get a surprise at invoicing. Here, by contrast, is the full arithmetic on both our packages, so that you can budget accurately. Essentially, two statutory charges sit on top of the package price. First, GST at 5% applies to overseas tour packages. Second, Tax Collected at Source (TCS) at a flat 2% applies under Section 206C(1G), following the change introduced in Budget 2026 that replaced the earlier 5% / 20% slab structure. Importantly, though, TCS is not a cost, because it is collected against your PAN and then adjusted against your income tax liability when you file your return.

Worth knowing: TCS is fully recoverable, since it is collected against your PAN and then set off against your income tax. Consequently, your true net outlay is the landed cost minus the TCS line. In addition, the airfare figures above are indicative return economy fares from Indian metros, and they move with demand — so book early for the October session, when Guangzhou routes fill up. Finally, these tax rates are current as at July 2026; we will confirm the exact figures on your invoice, although you should still check the treatment with your own accountant.

Canton Fair Package Prices from India — Departure City Wise

Our land package price stays the same wherever you fly from — that is, ₹71,000 for a single phase and ₹1,15,000 for a combined tour. What changes, however, is your airfare. Since India–China services resumed, Guangzhou (CAN) is served directly again; and where a direct flight is not available from your city, we route you via Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur or Bangkok instead. The table below therefore gives realistic return economy fare bands for the October 2026 window, applied to the single-phase land package; for a combined tour, add ₹47,080 to the final column. In any case, book at least eight weeks out, because fares on Guangzhou routes climb sharply in the fortnight before each phase.

Canton Fair Tour Packages from Kochi & Kerala

Because we are a Kochi-based operator, Kerala buyers get the most hands-on service. For example, we collect visa documentation from our Kochi office, we run a pre-departure briefing in person, and the group usually travels together from COK. Most Kochi departures then route via Bengaluru or Chennai onto Singapore or Kuala Lumpur, arriving Guangzhou the same evening. Typically, spice, cashew, coir, rubber, seafood and ayurvedic-products exporters from Kerala attend Phase 3; meanwhile, hardware, electrical and building-materials traders from Ernakulam and Thrissur usually take Phase 1 or Phase 2.

Canton Fair Tour Packages from Delhi

Delhi has the strongest connectivity to Guangzhou of any Indian city, since it offers a direct service plus multiple one-stop options via Kolkata, Bangkok and Hong Kong. On the direct routing, moreover, flying time is around six hours. As a result, Delhi and NCR buyers — particularly electronics importers from Bhagirath Palace and Karol Bagh, and likewise auto-parts traders from Kashmere Gate — make up one of the largest Indian contingents at Phase 1. Finally, if you are travelling from Noida, Gurugram, Faridabad or Ghaziabad, we can arrange a pick-up to IGIA.

Canton Fair Tour Packages from Mumbai

Mumbai buyers usually connect through Singapore, Kuala Lumpur or Bangkok. Alternatively, they take a domestic hop to Delhi for the direct service. Either way, total journey time is nine to twelve hours. In practice, Mumbai and Gujarat traders are heavily represented in Phase 2 — home décor, gifting, kitchenware and building materials — and also in Phase 3 for textiles and footwear. Consequently, we can hold a Mumbai sub-group on the same departure, so that you travel with buyers in your own category.

Canton Fair Tour Packages from Chennai, Bengaluru & Hyderabad

South Indian departures route through Singapore, Kuala Lumpur or Bangkok, all of which offer good same-day connections into Guangzhou. Generally, Chennai and Bengaluru buyers cluster around electronics, machinery and engineering components in Phase 1. Hyderabad, on the other hand, sends a strong pharmaceutical and medical-device contingent to Phase 3. Regardless of where you fly from, all three cities join the same group tour on arrival in Guangzhou, and therefore you get the identical hotel, guide and transfer arrangements.

Canton Fair Tour Packages from Kolkata & Ahmedabad

Kolkata is the closest Indian city to Guangzhou, and it also has the shortest and cheapest routing — a direct service of roughly four and a half hours. That is precisely why Kolkata fares in the table above are the lowest of any city. Unsurprisingly, therefore, Bengal buyers in leather, jute, garments and machinery find this the easiest Canton Fair trip in India. Ahmedabad and Surat buyers, by contrast, are mainly in textiles, chemicals and diamonds, and they route via Delhi, Mumbai or Singapore.

India to Guangzhou Flight Routes in 2026 — Direct and Connecting

Direct flights between India and China resumed progressively through late 2025 and 2026, after a suspension of more than four years. First, IndiGo restored the Kolkata–Guangzhou route in October 2025 — the first India–China service to return. Next came Air India on Delhi–Shanghai in February 2026, then China Southern on Delhi–Guangzhou and IndiGo on Kolkata–Shanghai in March 2026, and finally Air China on Beijing–Delhi in April 2026. For Canton Fair travellers, this matters in two ways. On the one hand, journey times from north and east India have roughly halved. On the other hand, one-stop fares through Southeast Asia have softened as capacity returned. In either case we book flights as an optional add-on at the fare applicable on the day; otherwise you can arrange your own and simply join the group in Guangzhou.

China Business (M) Visa for the Canton Fair — Documents, Fees & Timeline

Indian passport holders attending the Canton Fair need a China Business (M) visa. It is included as standard in every package on this page. We prepare the file, obtain your Canton Fair invitation letter and manage the submission. You still need to appear in person once for biometrics. That part cannot be delegated. Applications are made through the China Visa Application Service Centre in India.

Documents Required for a China M Visa from India

  • Original passport, valid at least six months beyond travel, and with a minimum of two blank visa pages
  • One recent colour photograph, 33 × 48 mm, white background, taken within the last six months, and without glasses
  • Completed China visa application form, duly signed
  • Canton Fair invitation letter — which we obtain for you
  • Company cover letter on letterhead, stating your designation, the purpose of visit, and also that the company bears the expenses
  • Business registration proof — for example a GST certificate, Importer Exporter Code or Certificate of Incorporation
  • Confirmed return flight booking and hotel confirmation — since we provide the hotel voucher
  • Bank statement for the last six months and, where requested, ITR for the last two years
  • Copy of any previous Chinese visas, if held
The invitation letter alone is not enough. This is the single most common reason a first-time Indian applicant is refused. The consulate also wants confirmed flight and hotel bookings. It wants a company cover letter that matches your stated business. Those documents come from us as part of the package. That is why applicants travelling with a tour operator clear this hurdle far more easily than independent applicants.

China Visa Fees and Processing Time for Indian Passport Holders

On 22 December 2025, China moved to an online-first visa application system for Indian applicants. It also reduced its fee schedule, and the lower rates currently run through 31 December 2026. The change cut the process from two visits to one. It also removed the need to book an appointment in advance for most categories. It did not remove the biometric appointment itself. You must still attend a visa centre in person to give fingerprints. Fees are revised from time to time, so we confirm the exact amount applicable to your application at the time of booking.

Canton Fair Invitation Letter — How We Get It for You

Before applying for the visa, every overseas buyer needs an official invitation from the Canton Fair organiser. It is issued free through the Canton Fair Buyer Service System. You register as a buyer and submit your company details. Processing usually takes one to five working days. You can choose between a paper invitation card and an e-invitation. We handle this end to end as part of every package. You send us your company documents. We register you, obtain the invitation, and attach it to your visa file. If you have applied yourself and are stuck at the verification stage, call us. It is usually just a mismatch between your company name and your registration documents.

Group Paper Visa vs Sticker M Visa — Which One Do You Need?

A sticker M visa is the standard individual business visa. It is physically affixed in your passport and valid for the entries and duration granted. It can be used for independent travel within China. A group paper visa is different. It is a single document covering a whole delegation travelling together on the same itinerary. It is faster and cheaper to obtain. But the group must enter and exit China together, so you cannot deviate from the itinerary or extend your stay. For most Canton Fair buyers we recommend the sticker M visa. That applies especially if you plan factory visits before or after the fair, or expect to return within the year. We will advise which route suits your trip when you book.

China Visa Rule Changes for Indians in 2026

Two developments make this the easiest year in half a decade for Indian buyers to attend the Canton Fair. The online-first application system launched in December 2025 has materially shortened the process. Reduced visa fees also remain in force through the end of 2026. Separately, direct India–China air links have been restored on multiple routes. That has cut journey times and eased fares. Together these changes have brought Indian attendance back toward pre-2020 levels. It also means hotel inventory near the Pazhou Complex sells out earlier than it used to. Book your package before the end of August for the October session.

Canton Fair Buyer Badge & Registration — Step by Step

Your buyer badge is what gets you through the gates at Pazhou. Usefully, it is free if you pre-register, and once issued it stays valid for future sessions, so you only do this properly once. By contrast, registering on site without pre-registration costs around US$20 and means queueing on your first morning — time you would rather spend in the halls. Although badge registration is included in every Cosima package, here is exactly what happens, so that you know what to expect.

How to Pre-Register for Your Canton Fair Buyer Badge Online

  1. First, create a buyer account on the official Canton Fair Buyer Service System using your business email address.
  2. Next, enter your company details — registered name, address, business type and the product categories you source.
  3. Then upload a passport-style photograph, along with a scan of your passport bio page.
  4. After that, select the session and the phase or phases you intend to attend.
  5. Now apply for your invitation — choose an e-invitation for speed, or alternatively a paper invitation card if your consulate prefers it.
  6. Subsequently, wait for verification, normally one to five working days, and download your confirmation slip once approved.
  7. Afterwards, use the invitation to lodge your China M visa application.
  8. Finally, collect your physical badge on arrival in Guangzhou, or else at the fairground on your first morning.

Where to Collect Your Badge in Guangzhou

Importantly, you do not have to collect at the fair complex. Instead, registered overseas buyers can pick up a badge at the Canton Fair Complex itself, at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, at Guangzhou South Railway Station, at the Pazhou Ferry Terminal, and additionally at a number of designated hotels across the city. On arrival day our guide therefore takes the group to the nearest collection point — which is precisely why our tours depart a day before the phase opens, so that you walk into the halls badged and ready on morning one.

Canton Fair Badge Fees, Photo Specs and Multi-Entry IC Cards

As noted above, the badge is free for pre-registered overseas buyers. Your photograph must be a recent passport-style colour image on a plain background; generally, the same photo you use for the visa is accepted. Furthermore, buyers who attend regularly can hold a multi-entry IC card that carries across sessions, so returning attendees skip the registration step entirely and simply re-activate for the current fair. Finally, keep your badge on you at all times inside the complex, because it is checked at every hall entrance and replacement is slow.

Canton Fair Venue — Pazhou Complex Halls and How to Get There

The Canton Fair is held at the China Import and Export Fair Complex, universally known as the Pazhou Complex, at 380 Yuejiang Middle Road, Haizhu District, Guangzhou, Guangdong, China. At roughly 1.55 million square metres of exhibition space and around 75,700 booths, it is therefore the largest exhibition venue in the world. For context, the 139th session in spring 2026 hosted more than 32,000 exhibitors, including about 3,900 first-timers, and it drew a record 314,000 overseas buyers from 220 countries and regions across 4.65 million products. Naturally, then, you should expect the autumn session to be busier still.

Which Halls and Areas to Cover in Your Phase

The complex is divided into exhibition areas — commonly labelled A, B, C and D — which are connected by covered walkways and escalators. However, one point trips up first-time buyers, and several competing websites get it wrong: there is no fixed, permanent product-to-area mapping. Instead, the areas are re-allocated for every phase. In Phase 1, for example, Area A typically holds electronics and appliances while Area B carries hardware and vehicle parts; in Phase 2, by contrast, Area B holds building materials and furniture. Therefore, always download the official floor plan for the specific phase you are attending, rather than relying on a mapping you saw online. In any case, your Cosima guide carries the current plan and will walk you through a hall-by-hall route on day one.

Getting to the Canton Fair Complex — Metro, Taxi and Shuttle

Metro: Guangzhou Metro Line 8 serves the complex directly. Specifically, use Xingangdong station for Area A, and Pazhou station, Exit C for Areas B and C. During fair week the metro is the fastest option, because road traffic around Haizhu District gets heavy. Airport: Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport (CAN) is roughly 35 to 45 kilometres away, or typically 45 to 60 minutes by taxi outside peak hours. High-speed rail: alternatively, arrive at Guangzhou South and then connect by metro. Shuttle: since our packages include a daily return coach transfer between your hotel and the complex, you will not need any of the above on fair days — even so, it is worth knowing the metro route for evenings and free time.

Best Hotels Near the Canton Fair Complex

Because hotel pricing in Guangzhou rises steeply during fair weeks, the properties closest to Pazhou are booked out months ahead. Consequently, we contract rooms well in advance, and that is how we hold the package price. Since all our Canton Fair tours use a 4-star property with daily transfers, proximity matters less than the reliability of the coach.

Canton Fair Opening Hours and Entry Rules

The halls are open 09:30 to 18:00 on every fair day, across all three phases. Importantly, carry your badge and passport at all times, because both are checked at hall entrances. Also, bring far more business cards than you think you need; indeed, 300 is not excessive for a five-day phase. Since photography rules vary by booth, always ask before you shoot. Finally, plan to be at the gates by 09:15 on your first morning, as the queues at opening are considerable and the exhibitors you most want to see get busiest after 11am.

How to Plan Your Canton Fair Visit — A Sourcing Plan for Indian Buyers

Before You Fly — Apps, Payments, Business Cards and Sample Prep

First, set up WeChat and Alipay before you leave India, and link an international card — because China is effectively cashless, and most suppliers will want to add you on WeChat rather than exchange emails. Next, download an offline translation app as well as a maps app that works in China. Then bring a printed product specification sheet with target quantities, target landed price and your quality requirements; after all, suppliers take you far more seriously when you can hand over a spec rather than describe one. Additionally, carry business cards showing your company name in English, your product category, and ideally a WeChat QR code printed on the reverse. Finally, pack a power bank, a universal adapter and comfortable shoes, since you will walk eight to twelve kilometres a day inside the complex.

On the Ground — Hall Strategy, Supplier Meetings and Negotiation

Above all, do not try to walk the whole phase. Instead, get the official floor plan on day one, mark the three or four halls that carry your category, and then work them systematically. Meanwhile, photograph every booth banner along with the product, so that you can match samples to suppliers later — because by day three everything blurs. At first contact, ask for FOB pricing, minimum order quantity, lead time and payment terms, and immediately note them on the back of the business card. Naturally, treat first-quoted prices as an opening position; in practice, meaningful negotiation happens after the fair, over WeChat, once the supplier knows you are serious. Lastly, prioritise manufacturers over trading companies if you want control over quality, and simply ask directly which one you are speaking to.

After the Fair — Samples, Payment Terms and Shipping to India

Afterwards, shortlist to a handful of suppliers per product, and order paid samples rather than free ones — because paid samples get made properly. Then agree specifications in writing before any bulk order; moreover, consider a third-party inspection before shipment on your first order with any new supplier. On payment, a 30% deposit with the balance against a copy bill of lading is the common structure; however, avoid paying 100% in advance to a supplier you have just met. As for shipping, LCL sea freight from Guangzhou or Shenzhen to Nhava Sheva, Chennai, Kolkata or Cochin typically runs 18 to 28 days door to port.

Import Duty and Customs When Bringing Samples Back to India

Samples carried in your baggage are subject to Indian customs rules and duty-free allowance limits. Declare anything of commercial value rather than risk detention at the green channel. For commercial consignments you will need an Importer Exporter Code (IEC) from the DGFT. Duty is then assessed on the CIF value at the rate applicable to your HS code, plus IGST and social welfare surcharge. Current tariff rates are published by the CBIC. If you are importing for the first time, work out your landed cost per unit before you commit to a purchase order at the fair. That means FOB price plus freight, insurance, duty, IGST and clearance. Work it out at the fair, not after it.

Day-by-Day Itinerary — 5N/6D Canton Fair Tour from India

This is the standard structure for all three single-phase packages. Although dates shift by phase, the shape of the trip does not.

Day 1 — Depart India, Arrive Guangzhou, Hotel Check-In & Orientation Briefing

First, fly from your home city to Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport. On arrival there is a meet and greet, followed by a private coach transfer to the hotel and check-in. Then, in the evening, your tour manager runs an orientation briefing covering the floor plan, your hall route, WeChat and Alipay setup, and negotiation basics. Afterwards, Indian dinner at the hotel. Meals: dinner.

Day 2 — Canton Fair Day 1: Badge Collection & Priority Halls

After breakfast, take the coach to the Pazhou Complex. There you collect your buyer badge and enter the halls at opening. Initially your guide walks the group through the layout and orients you to your priority halls; subsequently you work independently, while the group meets for a scheduled check-in. Finally, return transfer to the hotel, then Indian dinner. Meals: breakfast, dinner.

Day 3 — Canton Fair Day 2: Supplier Meetings & Sample Review

Today is a full day at the fair. Because you scoped the halls the previous day, this is the day to hold your substantive supplier meetings, review samples and gather quotations. Throughout, your guide is on hand for translation support, and also to help you locate specific exhibitors. Then Indian dinner. Meals: breakfast, dinner.

Day 4 — Canton Fair Day 3 & Evening Networking

This third full day at the fair is typically the most productive, since you know the halls, the suppliers know you, and second meetings convert. Afterwards, there is an evening networking dinner with the group — which is a useful hour for comparing notes with other Indian buyers in adjacent categories. Meals: breakfast, dinner.

Day 5 — Canton Fair Day 4 or Guangzhou Wholesale Market Visit

Either return to the fair to close outstanding conversations, or alternatively opt for a visit to one of Guangzhou’s specialist wholesale markets — electronics, textiles, leather or hardware, depending on your category — where minimum order quantities are lower than at the fair. In either case, your guide advises which market suits your product. Then Indian dinner. Meals: breakfast, dinner.

Day 6 — Departure from Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport

After breakfast, check out, and then take the coach transfer to the airport for your return flight to India. Before departure, moreover, your tour manager provides a written summary of group contacts along with follow-up guidance. Meals: breakfast.

Day-by-Day Itinerary — 8N/9D Combined Canton Fair Tour (Option 01 & Option 02)

Both combined departures run to the same 8-night, 9-day shape: two fair days at the first phase, then the three-day changeover break filled with a guided Guangzhou city tour, a market-shopping day with a Pearl River evening cruise and a full-day Gulong Gorge Glass Bridge excursion, and finally two fair days at the second phase. Accommodation throughout is the Hilton Garden Inn Guangzhou Airport (4★) or similar, and every night carries an Indian dinner.

Day 9 — Departure: Guangzhou to India

Why the sightseeing sits in the middle. The Canton Fair closes for three days between phases while the halls are re-dressed for the next set of exhibitors, so a combined tour has to bridge that gap. Rather than leave you idle in the hotel, we use those three days for the city tour, the market visit with the Pearl River cruise and the Gulong Gorge excursion. If you would rather spend one of them on a factory visit or independent sourcing, tell us your supplier locations at booking and we will look at arranging it.

Hindi and English Speaking Tour Managers on Every Departure

Every Cosima Canton Fair departure travels with an accompanying tour manager who speaks English and Hindi, alongside local guides in Guangzhou. Between them, they handle badge collection, hall orientation, coach timings and the everyday friction of a first trip to China — from setting up WeChat Pay, for instance, to finding the right hall for a supplier you have only seen online. For a first-time buyer, therefore, this is usually the difference between a productive week and an overwhelming one. However, if you need dedicated Mandarin interpretation for negotiations, we can arrange a professional interpreter at a supplement, since the group guide provides general translation support but is not a one-to-one interpreter.

Canton Fair Tour Packages — Frequently Asked Questions

What is included in a Canton Fair tour package from India?

Every Cosima Canton Fair package includes your China business (M) visa with the Canton Fair invitation letter, 4-star hotel accommodation on twin sharing, daily breakfast and an Indian dinner every night, airport transfers, daily return coach transfers to the Pazhou Complex, buyer badge registration, fair entry for all fair days, all entrance fees listed in the itinerary, a bottle of mineral water per person per day, and an accompanying English-speaking guide. The combined 8-night tours additionally include a Guangzhou city tour, a Pearl River cruise, a market shopping visit and a full-day Gulong Gorge Glass Bridge excursion with lunch. International airfare is an optional add-on, and GST and TCS are charged separately.

How much does a Canton Fair tour package from India cost in 2026?

Our single-phase packages cost ₹71,000 per adult for 5 nights and 6 days on twin sharing, and the combined two-phase packages cost ₹1,15,000 per adult for 8 nights and 9 days. Adding GST at 5% and TCS at 2% brings the land package to ₹75,970 and ₹1,23,050 respectively. With return airfare, budget roughly ₹1.08 to ₹1.38 lakh all-in for a single phase, and ₹1.55 to ₹1.85 lakh for a combined tour. Single occupancy is ₹87,900 and ₹1,38,000 respectively.

When is the Canton Fair 2026 — what are the exact dates and phases?

The 140th Canton Fair runs from 15 October to 4 November 2026 in Guangzhou. Phase 1 is 15–19 October, Phase 2 is 23–27 October, and Phase 3 is 31 October to 4 November. The halls close for three days between phases while exhibitors change over. The previous 139th session ran in April and May 2026 and has already closed.

Which Canton Fair phase should I attend for my product category?

Phase 1 covers electronics, household appliances, lighting, machinery, hardware and tools, new energy, and vehicles and spare parts. Phase 2 covers furniture, home décor, gifts, kitchenware, ceramics, sanitary ware, building and decorative materials, and clocks and watches. Phase 3 covers textiles and garments, footwear, bags, office supplies, toys, baby and pet products, food and medical products. The phases do not overlap, so book the one matching your category.

What is the itinerary for the combined 8-night Canton Fair tours?

Both combined tours follow the same 8-night, 9-day shape. Day 1 is arrival in Guangzhou. Days 2 and 3 are fair days at the first phase. Days 4, 5 and 6 fall in the three-day changeover break between phases and cover a guided Guangzhou city tour, a market shopping day with a Pearl River evening cruise, and a full-day Gulong Gorge Glass Bridge excursion with lunch. Days 7 and 8 are fair days at the second phase, and day 9 is your departure. Option 01 runs 17–25 October 2026 across Phases 1 and 2; Option 02 runs 25 October to 2 November 2026 across Phases 2 and 3.

Do I need a visa to attend the Canton Fair from India, and which type?

Yes. Indian passport holders need a China Business (M) visa. It requires an official Canton Fair invitation letter, a passport valid six months with two blank pages, a 33 × 48 mm white-background photograph, a company cover letter, and confirmed flight and hotel bookings. The M visa is included in all our packages and we obtain the invitation letter for you. A group paper visa is an alternative for delegations travelling together on a fixed itinerary.

How long does a China business visa take for Indian passport holders?

Standard processing is typically 4 to 7 working days once your file is submitted, with express processing available in 2 to 3 working days at a supplement. Because the invitation letter has to be obtained first — usually 1 to 5 working days — we recommend starting the process at least 4 to 6 weeks before departure. China moved to an online-first application system for Indian applicants in December 2025, but a single in-person biometric appointment is still compulsory.

How do I get a Canton Fair invitation letter?

Invitation letters are issued free by the Canton Fair organiser through the official Buyer Service System once you register as an overseas buyer and submit your company details. You can choose an e-invitation or a paper invitation card, and approval normally takes 1 to 5 working days. We handle this for you as part of every package — you send your company documents, we register you and attach the invitation to your visa file.

How do I get my Canton Fair buyer badge, and is it free?

The buyer badge is free for overseas buyers who pre-register online, and once issued it remains valid for future sessions. Registering on site without pre-registration costs around US$20 and means queueing. You can collect your badge at the Canton Fair Complex, Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, Guangzhou South Railway Station, the Pazhou Ferry Terminal, or at designated hotels. Badge registration is included in all our packages.

How many days do I need at the Canton Fair?

Five days is enough to walk one phase properly, which is why our single-phase tours run 5 nights and 6 days with five full fair days. The combined 8-night tours work differently: they give you two fair days in each of two phases, so you trade depth in one category for breadth across two. Choose combined only if your business genuinely spans two phases. First-time buyers almost always do better on a single-phase trip — you will learn what you actually need before committing to a longer visit next session.

Is airfare included in your Canton Fair packages?

No. International airfare is not included in the quoted package price. We book it as an optional add-on at the fare applicable on the day, or you can arrange your own flights and join the group in Guangzhou. Return economy fares from Indian metros for the October 2026 window typically run ₹32,000 to ₹62,000 depending on your city and how early you book — Kolkata is cheapest on the direct route. Domestic airfare to your international gateway is also excluded.

What are GST and TCS on a Canton Fair tour package, and how much will I actually pay?

GST is charged at 5% on overseas tour packages, and TCS at a flat 2% under Section 206C(1G) following the Budget 2026 change. On a ₹71,000 package that is ₹3,550 GST and ₹1,420 TCS, giving a land total of ₹75,970. On a ₹1,15,000 combined package it is ₹5,750 GST and ₹2,300 TCS, giving ₹1,23,050. TCS is not an additional cost — it is collected against your PAN and adjusted against your income tax when you file, so your net outlay is lower. Confirm the treatment with your accountant.

Can I visit factories or wholesale markets along with the Canton Fair?

Yes. The combined 8-night packages include a guided visit to a Guangzhou local market for shopping and smaller-quantity buying, and on single-phase tours day 5 can be swapped for a guided visit to a specialist wholesale market — electronics, textiles, leather or hardware — where minimum order quantities are lower than at the fair. Dedicated factory visits can be arranged on request, including in place of one of the sightseeing days on a combined tour; tell us your supplier locations at booking.

Do you provide a Hindi-speaking tour manager and interpreters?

Every departure travels with an accompanying tour manager who speaks English and Hindi, plus local guides in Guangzhou who provide general translation support in the halls. That covers hall navigation, exhibitor conversations and everyday logistics. If you need dedicated one-to-one Mandarin interpretation for detailed commercial negotiations, we can arrange a professional interpreter at a supplement — request this at least two weeks before departure.

Are there direct flights from India to Guangzhou in 2026?

Yes. Direct India–China services resumed progressively through late 2025 and 2026. IndiGo restored Kolkata–Guangzhou in October 2025 — the shortest routing from India at around four and a half hours — and China Southern resumed Delhi–Guangzhou in March 2026. From other cities we route via Delhi, Kolkata, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur or Bangkok with same-day connections.

Is the Canton Fair suitable for first-time importers and small businesses?

Yes, and a hosted package is the sensible way to do a first visit. You get badge registration, visa handling, transfers and a guide who knows the halls, so you spend your five days sourcing rather than solving logistics. Bring a clear product specification, target quantities and a target landed price. You will need an Importer Exporter Code from DGFT before you can import commercially into India — worth arranging before you travel.

What is your booking, payment and cancellation policy?

Bookings are confirmed against an advance, with the balance due before visa submission and final documentation. Because visa fees, hotel blocks and fair registration are committed well ahead of departure, cancellation charges apply on a sliding scale that increases as the travel date approaches. These are group departures subject to a minimum number of passengers, so we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule if the minimum is not met — you would be told well in advance. Call +91 98463 65595 or 0484 236 4351 and we will send the current payment schedule and cancellation terms in writing before you pay anything.
